1. Scholarship contents
Scholarship students at Nippon Designers School Malaysia College Manga Illustration Department
(diploma programme for 2 years 7 months), which will start in September 2022
I. Full tuition fee exemption: 5 people（Total RM68,700 for 2years 7months）
II. 1st–year tuition fee exemption: 5 people（Total RM30,100 for 1year）
*This does not include other costs like registration fees, deposit, study trips, student insurance, study
materials, and teaching materials.
2. Application period
From June 14th, 2022, to July 14th, 2022
3. Artwork submission
Work theme: What does creative mean in your point of view.
For example: You can express it through illustrations, manga, 3D works.
Must be the applicant’s original work
Black and white or color artwork is acceptable.
Can use any art material
For analog artwork, please scan or take a photo of the artwork and send it for applications
The language used is English
Each person is allowed to submit one application only.
4. How to apply
Send in the completed application form, one certified true copy of relevant academic transcript and
your artwork via Google form

*These preparations are not required at the time of application but in later stages.

Successful scholarship recipients will pay one–off enrolment fee of RM500(non–refundable,
non–transferable)
5. Selection schedule
The screening will be conducted up to two screenings in total.
First screening: Work and Document screening.
We will inform you of the result by email or phone by July 22nd.
Succeeded candidates will be called to interview at Nippon Designers School Malaysia College from
25th to 29th July.
Second screening: Interview.
We will notify you of the result by email or phone as soon as possible after the interview.
*Online interviews are also available depending on the situation
6. Eligibility for participation
I. Possess SPM with a minimum of 3 credits in any subject, or its equivalent, OR
II. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in
any subject; OR
III. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul in any
subject; OR
IV. A pass in SKM Level 3/Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) in relevant field; OR
V. A Certificate (Level 3; MQF) with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent; OR
VI. A Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum 3 credits (3Bs); OR
VII. A pass in The General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level（O–Level） with
minimum 3 credits (3Cs); OR
VIII. A pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) For a 3 credits 23 points above; OR
IX. Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government
AND
X. Pass an interview or submission of portfolio determined by HEP as required.
Those with Malaysian nationality.
Those who are willing to enroll in the Manga Illustration department, which the programme
will be started in September 2022.
7. Application rules
Regarding application
Applications may be invalidated for false accusation, promotion of discrimination, and works
that make others uncomfortable.
If it is discovered that a work produced by a third party has been submitted, NDS Malaysia
will cancel the applicant’s scholarship.
Successful scholarship recipients are not eligible for any other benefits.
Screening related
NDS Malaysia reserved all rights to make changes without notification, we will not respond
should disputes arise from screening method or selection results.

By submitting your artwork for the scholarship application, you have agreed to the terms
and conditions of this scholarship, including the copyright waiver of the submitted artwork.
Handling of personal information
Personal information of applicants will not be used for anything other than NDS Malaysia
content and will be handled properly in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
