MSEAF operates as a charitable organization dedicated to providing educational support to the Sikh community in Malaysia. Donations made to such charitable organizations is eligible for tax exemptions and deductions.
MSEAF is an organisation recognized by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) as a qualifying institution for tax exemptions Tax Deduction Donors can claim tax deductions on their annual tax returns based on the amount donated to MSEAF. However, there are limits on the amount that can be deducted whereby only 10% of the donor’s aggregate income is allowed to be deducted for charitable donations.
Deduction under Subsection 44(6), Income Tax Act 1967, Reference No:LHDN.01/35/42/51/179-6.8824 . Effective Period of Approval: 1 April 2024 - 31 March 2029. Approved Donations Under Subsection 44(6) of Income Tax Act 1967. Both Individual and Company can claim approved donation under Subsection 44 (6) of Income Tax Act 1967 as tax deduction which is restricted to 10% from Aggregate Income.
